FAQ

How do I get my seats re done? Can i do it my self?

The best thing to do is hire a professional upholstery shop. Bring them your fabric and seats, and they should know what to do from there.

Upholstery work requires a lot of skill, time, and specialty tools. We do not recommend using standard home sewing machines. It is a lot like painting a car.

I am still going to do my own seats, what else do i need?

You will need a walking foot "compound feed" or "triple feed"  sewing machine.

This is important to remember as there are walking foot sewing machines that are not compound feed or triple feed. A fairly common used machine would be a Consew 206rb.

We recommend using UV resistant bonded polyester thread in size V-92 / Tex-90 for general purpose.
